Trimix (IANTD, TDI,PADI
TecRec )
Trimix is any gas mixture with Helium, Oxygen and
Nitrogen. The primary purpose of helium is to reduce the effects of
narcosis for deeper diving. As well as IANTD and TDI courses EAU2
can also run the new PADI TecRec range of courses. PADI's TecRec
programs were revamped in 2009. The new courses are now structured
to ensure the same indepth training but in smaller steps making it
easier to progress at your own speed.
IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix £325:
(4 days) Follows a
similar program to Advanced Nitrox Diver but employs the use of helium mixtures
to reduce narcosis potential. Qualifies you to use hyperoxic trimix
(21% O2 or higher) to 45m depth and plan and carry out up to 15
minutes decompression on Eanx mixtures up to 100% O2.
Equipment Setup - Twinset and Stage Cylinder
Pre-requisite - Nitrox Diver, Deep Diver ( or do
as a combined course), Min 50
logged dives inc. at least 2 in a twinset.
IANTD Normoxic Trimix/TDI
Trimix £625 :
(5 days) Venturing into deeper waters whilst minimizing the risks associated
with narcosis. These courses qualify you to dive to 60m
giving you all the advantages
of diving on normoxic helium based mixes and accelerated decompression using
up to 100% O2.

 IANTD
Trimix/TDI Advanced Trimix £650: The full Trimix
course giving you
the skills to dive safely in to deeper water and experience some of
the best and least dives wrecks off the South Coast (or some fantastic cave dives for
those who are Cave Diver certified and want to do their course in
the cave environment). Qualifies you to dive to 100m and use any
helium based gas including hypoxic mixes.
Equipment Setup - Twinset and 2 stage cylinders
(min 7l)
Pre-requisite - IANTD Technical/Normoxic Diver/TDI
Trimix
PADI TecRec Tec
65 £625:
This course teaches
you the use of trimix with a minimum O2 content of 18% to a maximum
depth of 65m. There is an Assessment dive plus 5 dives in open
water. If you have recently completed a PADI TecRec Tec 50 or Tec
Deep course you may only need to do 4 dives.
Equipment - Twinset & 2
stages/Sidemount & 2 stages
Pre-requisite - PADI
TecRec Tec 50/Tec Deep or equivalent (IANTD Technical Diver/TDI ERD)
PADI TecRec Tec
Trimix £650: This
course cover use of any trimix with a maximum depth during training
and no depth limit to the qualification. Use of multiple stage
cylinders and complex dive planning.
Equipment - Twinset & at
least 2 stages/Sidemount & at least 2 stages
Pre-requisite - PADI
TecRec Tec 65 or equivalent
PADI
Trimix Gas Blender £150:
A one day course covering Gas
Blending theory and practice with an overview of O2 cleaning
techniques.
Pre-requisite - Nitrox
Diver
IANTD Trimix Gas Blender £100: Learn all you need to
blend Trimix using partial pressure methods. This course qualifies
you to fill trimix at self-fill gas facilities.
