Nitrox (IANTD, TDI or BSAC)

Enriched Air Nitrox, known as Nitrox is any gas mixture of oxygen and air with more than 21% oxygen. It is used to maximise no-decompression time and/or minimise decompression, however, each gas has it's own depth limit and any nitrox mixture needs to be monitored to avoid oxygen toxicity.

Deep Diver £195: (3-4 days). Although not a Nitrox program, the IANTD Deep Diver is a skills intensive course teaching the techniques necessary to venture into deeper water. Precision buoyancy control, fining techniques, air sharing, smb deployment and dive planning for deeper dives are all part of the course. These skills are the building blocks for further training and will improve those learnt on beginners' courses into techniques based on real application. Qualifies you to dive to 39m and is usually combined with the Nitrox Diver course to make the most that each program has to offer.

Equipment Setup - Single cylinder and pony bottle / Twinset

Prerequisites  - Qualified to 30m, Min 10 logged dives.

Nitrox Diver £165:  (2 days). Basic Nitrox training allowing the use of any bottom mix up to EANx 40. one days theory followed by two dives. This course can be combined with the deep course to make the most of your bottom time.

Equipment Setup - single cylinder

Prerequisites - Qualified Diver

Advanced Nitrox Diver £295: (4 days). For most divers the stepping stone to more technical diving. This course aims for continual improvement of dive technique; buoyancy control, body position and use of fins, advanced air sharing drills and ascents, planning and carrying out limited decompression dives and equipment configuration and management including use of a redundant gas source as well as a stage cylinder with decompression gas.  Qualifies you to dive 42m using nitrox up to 100% O2 for up to 15 mins decompression. 

Equipment Setup - Twinset and stage cylinder

Pre-requisite - Qualified to dive to 40m, Nitrox diver,  min 30 logged dives.

Technical Diver £395: Extended range decompression diving to 51m with custom blend Nitrox and deco gasses up to 100% O2. This is the first level of technical diver qualification building on skills learnt at Advanced Nitrox diver to plan and carry out longer dives with unlimited decompression.

Equipment Requirements - Twin set and stage cylinder (min 7l)

Pre-requisite - Advanced Nitrox Diver, 100 dives with at least 30 dives below 27m

Nitrox Gas Blender £125: Learn how to blend Nitrox using the partial pressure method of blending. 1 day of theory and blending practice will enable to you to blend your own gas at self-fill facilities.
