Trimix (IANTD, TDI, BSAC)
Trimix is any gas mixture with Helium, Oxygen and
Nitrogen. The primary purpose of helium is to reduce the effects of
narcosis for deeper diving.
 Recreational Trimix:
(2 days) A new IANTD program giving sport divers the advantages of
diving with Helium as part of their breathing gas. Recreational
Trimix builds on your Nitrox Diver qualification allowing use of trimix to combat nitrogen narcosis.
Equipment Setup - Single cylinder
Pre-requisite - Qualified to 30m, Nitrox Diver,
Min 15 dives
Advanced Recreational Trimix: Follows a
similar program to Advanced Nitrox Diver but employs the use of helium mixtures
to reduce narcosis potential. Qualifies you to use hyperoxic trimix
(21% O2 or higher) to 45m depth and plan and carry out up to 15
minutes decompression on EANx mixtures up to 100% O2.

Pre-requisite - Nitrox Diver, Qualifed to 30m, Min

Normoxic Trimix :
(5 days) Venturing into deeper waters whilst minimizing the risks associated
with narcosis. The Normoxic course qualifies you to dive to 60m
giving you all the advantages
of diving on normoxic helium based mixes and accelerated decompression using
up to 100% O2. Divers
already qualified as Technical Divers can credit 2 EANx dives and
the relevant theory.
Equipment
Setup - Twinset and Stage Cylinder (min 7l)
Pre-requisite
- Advanced Nitrox, 100 dives with at least 30 dives below 27m
 Trimix: The full Trimix course giving you
the skills to dive safely in to deeper water and experience some of
the best and least dives wrecks off the South Coast (or some fantastic cave dives for
those who are Cave Diver certified and want to do their course in
the cave environment). Qualifies you to dive to 100m and use any
helium based gas including hypoxic mixes.
Equipment Setup - Twinset and 2 stage cylinders
(min 7l)
Pre-requisite - Technical Diver, 200 logged, min
25 dives below 42m
Trimix Gas Blender: Learn all you need to
blend Trimix using partial pressure methods. This course qualifes
you to fill trimix at self-fill gas facilities.
