It
was great to see some of you at the Dive Show this weekend.
Thanks to those of you who came over to say hello. Of
course we know not everyone can be there so here is some
news from this years event.
The most
exciting stand was our own of course...but apart from
that........
Closed
Circuit Research had their new Sentinel rebreather on show.
It looks like a great unit and the numbers from all the
tests done on it
so far are impressive. We have already placed our own order
and I will be doing my Instructor course as soon as I get my
unit. As dealers we have also taken our first orders for
them from students for this exciting new rebreather. The
first batch for Instructors are expected out early next
year. If
you want to know more or put your name on the list let me
know.
KISS Rebreathers
have teamed up with VR3 computers to produce an electronics
package that can be added to or purchased with your KISS.
The electronics now have three options; the original Jetsam
triple handset, a pendant style display unit (seen on the
top right above) which benefits from easy change AA battery
and external calibration, and/or linked in VR3 and heads up
display. KISS Rebreathers prices go up on 10th November so
if you want to order one the sooner the better.
Ambient
Pressure were not to be outdone and they had their new OC
Bailout mouthpiece for the Inspiration/Evolution. A very
nice compact design, with the unique feature of the
mouthpiece not only incorporating OC Bailout but the ADV as
well! These can be an optional extra on a new unit or can
be fitted to an existing unit. No prices as yet but AP are
expecting to have them ready for sale by the second quarter
next year. I think it will be next years 'must have' add-on
for rebreather divers.
Fourth
Element were displaying their new wet suits and their brand
new undersuit. The undersuit is a two piece design,
comprising of salopette style lower and a jacket style top.
Looks very nice and comfortable and those lucky enough to
test dive it have said it is very warm. No definite date
for that yet but I am sure that judging by the interest
being shown it won't be too long. Fourth Element also now
have a women's cut for their Arctic thermal underwear too!
Warmbac
are a name you may not have heard of but they are known for
making quality dry-caving equipment and clothing. They have
recently launched their own side-mount cave diving harness
and we will now be carrying those in stock. Not unlike the
Dragon harness for those who have seen side-mount dive kit,
but a little simpler in design and very well made. We
already have them in the shop and you can have one for
just £100.
